Trayvon must Have Justice

I don't  know about You family...but I feel that I have been slapped in the face, punched in the eye, and kicked in the stomach on this Saturday....as I heard the jury find George  Zimmerman "Not Guilty"... For the murder of Trayvon Martin...
As I sat in stunned dis-belief....I let out a scream of outrage that this was some real life truth and it felt like a nightmare....
How was this man found not guilty for the death of an unarmed 17 yr. old black teenager  ....but Michael Vick went to jail for fighting dog...dogs that I might add that has been breed just for fighting in the pit for a very long time in this country.
How does that happen?....well it happens because this system was not built to serve Black people in America....
In the back of my mind I knew this would happen...I was hoping that I was being cynical & jaded about the Judicial System in America....that today this country elected its first Black President...that the jury would look beyond racial stereotypes and rightfully convict this man for Trayvon Martin's murder....
It didn't happen...George Zimmerman was acquitted
I don't know about You family....but this has got to be huge wake up call about the fact that being Black in America is to expect unjust treatment in the court of this country...
It is to be treat as less than the life of a dog....
That our young Black Men can be hunted down and killed because of the way they look and no justice will be served...
This country has had a long history of these practices...
The question now is how can we stop it and who will be next????

This Election is of the Utmost Importance

I don't know about you, but I feel it in the pit of my stomach. It's a since of URGENCY in this election year.
The fact that these last four years have been a struggle for each and everyone of us. Up and including our President Barack Obama....but we must not go back...we must march forward and, continue too make change in this country for the future of our Children ...
I am not put off by the oppression of the Republican Party which stagnated the progress of some of the Presidents policies. Over the last 4 year the lack of cooperation among this countries legislative branch was an atrocity for all Americans.
The lack of regard for what the people need in this country because of the tunneled vision agenda of sacking the President.
It really pulled back the covers on how this political system really works, and the essence of this vendetta against Barack Obama....Racism & Hate....
When understanding the HISTORY of this country you will see the old tactic of pitting the poor or middle class whites against the Blacks has work in the suppression of Black folks as a whole for generations....you must understand that he Elite class in this country....have used the poor ,uneducated & the middle & highly educated white folks too spread their message of hate, and division with promises of recognition & prestige amongst their kind...With hopes of reaching that very exclusive unseen mark of acceptance they proceed In the in humane act of Oppression of all minorities...
But I will not loose FAITH in what President Barack symbolizes for me as a Black woman of African decent. He symbolizes HOPE, and that the mark of Supremacy has reached it's end...that my sons & daughter will have an opportunity to make their life's dreams come true on a level playing field.
I have FAITH in my future....that oppression of anyone WILL NO LONGER BE TOLERATED....That True democracy is attainable for everyone in this United States of America regardless of Color, Gender,Religious belief, & Sexual orientation. That's my vision for the Future and a vision that many share from all walks of life and of every color including white. This will not be the time too sit home and just WISH for a better Future, pro-activation is what is need now....FAITH & ACTION are a Powerful combination....get out and VOTE....ELECTION 2012....President Barack Obama...For the Future where HOPE IS NOW REAL....

Stop the Mis-education of the Negro.....Learn IT for Yourself

While was at work the other day, I had a discussion with a very young Black man about the importance of voting in this country. The conversation began with his statement about Barack Obama, not doing anything for him or any president for that matter. To say the least, I went in full force on him about the importance of voting and what the Negro had to suffer to even receive this simple freedoms in this country. The right to vote signifies our right to choose for our self what is right for us. After this young man seen how very passionate I am about exercising our right to vote in this country....after 100 years of oppression by the White man, and only being granted this unalienable right just  47 year ago the year I was born, civil right was passed in February in 1964. I also informed him that this right is as young as I am, so don't get comfortable with that mindset.

Today in this Election year, with so much at sake in this country that concern All Americans, I am worried about the state of the Negros in this country with this (I don't care attitude) when it comes to voting and becoming involved in this political process & legislation in this country. From what I understand it is that the Negro feel that they have no- say- so about what will happen to them and their families, and that this country will do what it wants to do in order to get the outcome that they desire...first of all I have never understood what people meant when they say (they)....I only wonder will this attitude continue to display itself after the election of our first African American President. I do understand that Barack Obama was not only elected by black people but by all the people in this country. But what I worry about is the lack of confidence in our people when it comes to making significant change in this country. I worry that with all of our advancement in technology, that the Negro still proclaim their ineffectiveness in producing change within himself and other.
I began to do some research in answering the question about the lack of participation on behalf of the Negro in the electoral process and began to contemplate how to began to address this overwhelming problem....as a black woman in this country I have tried to become an example of upward mobility, because I understand that the struggle still continue....even though a lot of young negro's don't understand what the struggle was in the first place. With this country continue lack of investment in the former slaves and their decedents....just like Dr.
Carter G. Woodson continue to point out in his book "The Mis-education of the Negro", his fact have indeed come to true in our communities....with the Republican National Convention disdain for all things Barack they continued lie and distort our President....I have never seen so much disrespect and lack of cooperation with a president in the history of this country like the Senate and Congress has shown Barack Obama....and lets just let it be known for all of the people that don't seem to understand....this is only a problem because of the color of his skin....he is a Negro....and in this country this Negro is out of his place and must be put back where he belongs....or is it just me...that see what is happening....the Republican Party wants to make sure that Barack Obama wont get back in office and that any other black little boy or girl had better think twice before they every think about becoming president in this country....this is a point that Dr. Woodson points out in his book....the hatred of the Negro in this country.....they continue to down play any accomplishment that President Barack Obama has made without the support of the Senate or Congress....
But I say things will and must be different in the mindset of every American in this country. Barack Obama epitomizes the American dream....to rise from nothing and become the most powerful man on the planet....no matter what color your skin....but the republican party wants the white supremacy mentality to continue to infest this country. Discounting all of the significant contribution made by the Negro....hell it was slaves that built the capitol of these United Stated....but we can not reap the benefits of our ancestor labor and sacrifice....what an atrocity.....WE MUST SEND A MESSAGE TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY  that WHITE SUPREMACY IS DEAD....and that every American deserves a far chance in this county especially the Negro who was enslaved for over 400 hundred year and built the wealth of this country that only a few now will benefit....we must continue to strive for change in this great country of ours, and I mean ours "ALL THE PEOPLE".....and as the Negro we must understand the VALUE OF our investment with blood, sweat, and tear....must not give up the fight for our rights to CHOOSE BY VOTE.....(THAT IS ALL FOR NOW)

Somtimes Exceptance is the Only answer....

I have learned on this Journey, that it is some things that can not be changed...Our challenge is to learn what battles can and cannot be won....we must Learn that Living our best self is our objective & we can't Please everyone....Having some type of Purpose gives us Energy to live in Harmony with the Universe....that is ever changing and we must change & evolove with it our Stagnate....on this never ending quest for improvement....learning our Limitation is a requirement...with some disappointment....we will Savor & offer gratitude wen we gain satisfaction with our Victories....this is a uphill battle were only the bravest amongst us dare to venture....

Confusion will cutter the mind

sometimes we as people have a lot of things on our minds and we seem to can't focus...with all of the running around, and things that must get done it seems like our mind is in constant turmoil. if anyone is like me...I will start one thing and can't finish that because my mind is off to something else...and in the end nothing gets done....
I had to find a remedy for this constant start and never finish routine....I started to take the time and slow down for just a minute....I call this the days to unplug....I mean that I really unplug....
I turn off my phone
I turn off my TV
I turn off all things off distraction.....
than I welcome the silence of my home....and close my eyes...and think of all of the things that I need to do....
I think of all of the things that I would like to see and visit
I think of my friends and loved ones
I think of my enemies and hated ones
I think of all the things that bring me joy
I think of all the things that bring me sadness
I look inside and feel what needs to be felt and I deal with them
I think of how I am breathing and how my body feels.....
I calm myself from all of the stimulation of the world and I relax and let go
this is how I focus my mind on my goals and how to go about achieving what I want.....
trust and believe you can do the same thing....

WOMEN:The Greatest Value on the Planet

This is something that has frustrated me for a very long time....The value place upon women is at an all time low. I just read an article about the plight of the Afghan woman named Gulnaz. She was place in jail for two years for reporting her rape by a cousin through marriage. She was charged with adultery and was sentence without the cousin being brougth before the courts. She has spent at least two years in jail and also gave birth to her daughter by this cousin while in prison. Well she was recently released after pressure by the EU press, and only if she agreed to become the second wife of the cousin that raped her.  According to the Afghan culture if a woman marries the father of the child, that was born out of wedlock, this would legitimizes the child, and saves her from ridicule of the Afghan society.
This has really struck a cord with me because the value of a woman is so low, that her body can be violated in such a way that it doesn't matter what she feels or thinks. It is so sad to me to think that in the 21st century that practices such as this still exists in the world. How very sad that the Afghan society still function on this level. It would seem to me that with all of the problems that they face in that country, that everyone should be welcomed to help solve these problems. Instead the women are oppressed to the point to where men use them as a vessel for their pleasure and then discard them as they would trash.
With this in mind leads me to think of how woman are treated in this society. I must say that I feel very blessed to have been born in the United States. Women here have choices and the freedom to exercise those choices. Even though there has been many attempts by some religious conservatives to infringe on a woman right to choose. These people still think that oppressing woman right and to control what they should and should not do is God's way. Well history has proven that the oppression of woman has not done society any good at all.
Just consider that with all of the problem that we face in this world and society at large that we need all able minds and bodies on hand to solve these problems for the future of our children. Just think about this if the world was not so hell bent on control their greatest resource which by the way are (woman). A lot of the decisions that have been made by mostly men, has put our future at risk across the globe. In this country the uni-lateral decisions made by men, has put us in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. I'm not saying that woman don't make bad decisions. I'm saying that if look at from the points of strength and weakness men and woman both have the ability to balance out a situations when both prospectives are utilized for the greater good of society as a whole.....
We have did ourselves and this world a great disservice for not understanding the value of women on this planet....as a woman I know that listening too the antiquated belief systems that woman have been raised on, has devalued our impute on the grand scale of living as a whole.....with so many challenges that we face here in this world with generational wars, hunger, sickness, disease, and poverty.....in order to solve them, and find the solutions to live better, all hand and minds are needed to sustain a future for our children and grandchildren.
Since woman bring forth life we have an even greater stake in what happens in this world and across this country. Our strenght, should no longer be diminished in the wake of a man. We should understand that we have equal value in this universe and across this Planet. For us here in this country we do have the freedom  to do as we please.....and it should not be taken lightly. We must continue to fight for the freedom of all people, men and women of all colors across this planet. That is the right to be free from oppression and to pursue what make us happy. This should be allotted to everyone across this planet.....
